For his thirty dollars a month, the cowboy was expected to work around the clock if necessary.  The worn out cowboy and his mount have been rounding up trays for well over 24 hours.  A severe rainstorm has left them both “asleep” on their feet.  In the midst of unsaddling, standing in sloppy mud, amid puddles, they enjoy their first moment of rest
