There was a shaman of the
Blackfoot who was famous for his vast mystical powers. He carried his magic in
his drum and he wore a bearskin.
The spiritual aspects of the
American Indian intrigue me and often I can close my eyes, while a visual
sculptural image presents itself. The final result of some concepts, have taken
years to develop into its final form.
The “Magic Of The Great Bear” is such
a piece. I hear his drum, and see his dance, and maybe even feel the spell that
surrounds him. |
